"In HoloNet News, technological and entertainment stock markers took a dive as a new contender came into the fray late this afternoon on Coruscant. Seemingly quiet Galactica Virtua Industries, a company that has not seen any headlines in over four decades, came out with a brand new software launch. Calling it TechNog, this technology is said to represent the latest in entertainment, gaming and social media interface. Spokeswoman for GVI stated that this would be-"
"In galactic news, TechNog is now said to be the latest "thing" for people to get. While it has yet to gain the level some other platforms have, trillions of teenagers and young adults have come to praise its immersive and seemingly real virtual world. The retinal implant that allows one to see social media feeds, join the online world that allows you to be anything from a Jedi to a pirate to a warlord in a reality the size of a universe or just simply give you the opportunity to watch movies and listen to music in the confines of your own head. "I'm Trinna Lisirri of TalkStar One, and we're on Zeltros in the middle of spring break where hundreds of thousands of college students have come to vacation and party. Take a run of the mill Sith and watch what he does. Give him a lightsaber, some dark powers and tell him he can be whatever he wants and he'll run out into the Galaxy to try to take it over. Or try to become immortal. Or want to go on a killing spree. Or want to seduce women...
Whatever it is they truly desire, be a Sith or a Jedi or just some ordinary citizen, you can learn so much about who they are on how they act, on how fast they move, on whether or not they can have the diligence to truly gain something.
Through diligence, I came to understand that people will destroy themselves if you give them the chance. With weapons, with games, with alcohol, with hatred, with pleasure, and do you know what the funniest thing is?
They think it's a game...
Those fools who think that finding that galaxy was perhaps a sign that new and greater things would come about have yet to see the horrors that I've found waiting. Now, with hundreds of trillions of beings investing their time in this technology, what truth can I gain from this?
