Description: Forbidding, dark and fear inspiring, the sprawling fortress formerly inhabited by Darth Andeddu and his loyal servants sits perched amidst Prakith’s foreboding mountains. Sheltered by hundreds of kilometres of hopeless desolation with no signs of civilization in sight, the citadel’s tower menacingly spires high above its surroundings like a dark lord watching over his domain. Its solitude is further increased by numerous rifts tearing the earth and surroundings prone to seismic instability.
Serving as the headquarters and main facility for the Inquisitorius, the fortress boasts appropriate defences. Massive walls, reinforced gates and plentiful sentries protect the looming structure’s premises from unwanted visitors, aided by a number of turbolaser towers and air defence turrets positioned in the surrounding mountains and guided by a sensitive targeting system. Shield generators present within the tower itself weave a particle shield enveloping the spire and the fortress’ thick walls, although the outer defences remain unprotected. Incoming and outgoing shuttles can pass the through the shields only after presenting proper security clearance, which is updated in regular intervals.
Upon entering the fortress, visitors pass into a high domed entrance hall. Many paths split from this hallway, each leading to a different location within the citadel. Arching obsidian columns and vaulted ceilings tower far above the heads of the fortress’ inhabitants, foreshadowing the architecture prevalent about the entire citadel and making the hallways feel colder than the actual temperature. Aside from having a large audience chamber and conference room, the citadel has spartan living quarters, offices, armoury, medical facility, mess hall, kitchen, hanger, and several areas devoted to training and meditation on the dark side.
The most exquisite of rooms is the Emperor’s suite. Rumours speak of great treasures and artifacts while others speculate that behind the cortosis-plated door lies nothing more than an ordinary room to accommodate the Emperor in case of visit. Whatever the truth, none is allowed to enter without direct permission from the Emperor himself.
History: Originally known as Andeddu’s Keep, the fortress was constructed on the Deep Core planet of Prakith, designed to serve as the stronghold of Darth Andeddu, Dark Lord of the Sith. Far removed from any form of established civilization, Lord Andeddu used the Keep as his personal repository of Sith lore, and also as the location of his secret tomb. Prior to his death, Darth Andeddu fled the Sith homeworld of Korriban and returned to his fortress, in an attempt to elude capture by those who desired his knowledge for themselves. He entered the Keep's innermost chamber, and sealed himself—and his knowledge—within a sarcophagus. Followers of Darth Andeddu continued to reside within his fortress for millennia after the Dark Lord's death.
Following Darth Sidious’ death over Endor, Citadel Inquisitorius fell victim to infighting and bare ambition of its residents. Abandoned by all, it has been left to fall apart. It wasn’t until the Empire’s grand return that someone remembered the abandoned citadel, bringing a group of Inquisitors to Prakith. While on their way to the old fortress, the group sensed a powerful presence as their shuttle soared above the world’s mountains. What they discovered was a sprawling ruin of once mighty keep.
