"So a twi'lek, a togruta, and a quarren walk into a cantina," the Duro slurred, obviously sloshed as he leaned over the bar counter turbulently, large eyes bulging and a dimmer shade of red than they had been when he had first arrived. He gazed with unfocused precision at the colorfully brunette navigator, jaw extended in comical anticipation before he released the punchline. Corvetta politely acknowledged him and carefully sipped on her whiskey.
"Shit, I can't make heads or tails of them!" The blue-skinned alien abruptly roared with laughter at his own joke, turning about to haw at everyone he made eye contact with as he thought he was the funniest man in the place. Corvetta nervously chuckled and offered an awkward smile to sympathetically affirm his drunk self-confidence, but she wondered if it would have been better if not to encourage him to continue with his 'comedy'. He was a nice guy but he shouldn't quit his day job.
Most of the spacer populace passing through Elesa on the icy globe of Ando Prime was likely hunkered down in one of these pubs currently, a mighty blizzard howling outside and expected to linger for most of the night. Some frosty individuals who had been caught out or simply needed to make the frigid trek from their hotel to fetch some booze occasionally marched through the door, but otherwise it was a tepid night save the howling winds and the laughing Duro. Most of the individuals hanging out in this cozy joint were in a somber, reclusive mood, but the glymphid behind the counter seemed to be in good spirits at this change in the weather. And why not?
Corvetta finished off the rest of her glass and raised her hand for another. The glymphid gladly obliged her, and she smiled genuinely as he softly whistled a traditional tune. This was her favorite pastime, and she was quite good at it.
