Yog would pull off a maneuver a group of kinky ships behind him. They were bandits trying to take a piece of old empiral craftsmanship. His ship was mildly damaged and his shields were at half power. Activating his afterburners he would speed quickly flipping around he would fire all four of his lasers but they would barely damage the shields or the armour behind them. Tapping he would begin a jump to the near planet of tatooine that was 2 parsecs away. Then a blast of plasma would directly impact the hyper drive systems, and at that second he was sent into a blind jump. The immense power surge caused the systems to overload the life support was shutdown through the hyper space jump. The lack of oxygen would cause Yog to pass out, he was now floating in a part of unknown space his ship barely sustaining his life he was floating through space aimlessly until he could be found.

The Miralukan sat at the table opposite Trantor Est, surprised at how calm the Ithorian's aura seemed. For an information merchant and known smuggler, the Hammerhead seemed to be at perfect peace with himself and his surroundings.

"Coordinates are right there," said Trantor, pushing the data stick across the table. "Strictly plug and play. Don't even need an astromech if you don't have one."

"I have one," said Kree with a small smile, palming the coordinates and pushing a cred stick back across the table in return. The movement between the pair was so smooth and unobtrusive, it would have taken very keen eyes indeed to spot the transaction in the pub's low light. It was one of the reasons beings in the know came to Ludo's: dim light, good music, and no questions. "But it's nice to know."

"I'm a bit surprised you're taking me at face value, Mr. Kree," said Trantor, speaking with his left mouth while his right sipped from a straw connected to his drink. He paused to swallow, then continued, "Usually I'm asked more questions, like 'How do I know this isn't a trick,' or 'Why should I trust you,' or 'Something something Imperial officer.'"

Aaz Tor Kree placed his palms on the table. "I'm an excellent judge of things, character being one," he replied politely. "I have a knack for that sort of thing. If you were lying I'd've simply stood up and walked out. But you're not."

"And you're sure of that? Curious!"

Kree took a kolba nut from the bowl in the center of the table. They were naturally saliferous, which had the benefit of making eaters more thirsty, which was in turn good for business. They also had incredibly hard shells; bets were often made among any species weaker than the average Wookiee as to whether or not they could crack one open with just their hands.

Ignoring the nutcracker next to the bowl, Kree placed the nut on the table and slowly examined it. After perhaps 15 seconds, he placed the nut on the table, held it between the thumb and forefinger of his right hand to steady it, and dropped his left fist sideways onto the shell. It split open in two perfect halves.

"Imagine what I could do to the skull of someone who lied to me," said Kree. "Assuming of course I lived to find them."

"Well now," mumbled the Ithorian through both mouths. "I can assure you," he resumed, talking in mono once more, "that the coordinates programmed into that data stick are 100% accurate as of the moment they were received by me, and offer you a complete refund of their cost of purchase lest your own travel expenses should they prove otherwise, and now if you'll forgive me I must be on my way. I've left an oven burning in my cake."

The Ithorian rose and, sketching a quick salute, made his way to the door.

"I'm heading to Mugg Fallow in the Unknown Regions in the morning!" called Aaz To Kree loudly. "Anyone need a ride?"

Aaz shook his head and smiled. "No, I don't think about that, any more than I wonder what it would be like to be a droid and experience everything as electronic data processing. We all have our methods of discovery and understanding. If I were to wish for eyes, I might as well also wish for wings or gills or to be able to transform into a starship." The Miralukan's tone was light and conversational. "The Force suits me well enough as a guide."

He rose from his seat. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to make sure my ship is prepared for departure. We leave at 0800 tomorrow, but I'll be aboard at 0630. I trust that will give you enough time to load your cargo?"

With a nod of farewell, Aaz exited the pub and made his way back to the hanger where the Doom Saloon was berthed. As he approached, however, his attention was drawn to a sleek-looking spacecraft that had Dark Side energy pouring from it.

"And who might you be?" he asked aloud, walking to the front of the ship. He wondered if anyone were aboard, and what purpose they might have for such a vessel.

"Shhhhhh," said Kree, holding up a finger. "The ship and I are talking." The Miralukan was surprised and somewhat awed at the fact that the ship, and it was a beauty, seemed to be intruding into his thoughts, enticing him to step aboard, decrying his own meager YT-1930 as a brindlebug to a krayt dragon. Kree acknowledged the thoughts running through his mind, noting the malevolence behind them.

Finally he turned to regard the woman who had spoken, clasping his hands behind his back. Lacking proper eyes, he could not make out her physical features, but he was quite taken with how passionately she burned in the Force.

"It doesn't want to go with you," he said simply. "And since I have no idea who or what Dromund Kaas is, I assume it doesn't care much about them either. It expects me to take it for myself, to test both it and myself, which is fascinating, as I've never considered myself much of a pilot, and certainly no daredevil."

His tone was so matter-of-fact, so lacking in attitude or menace, that he might as well have been discussing the weather over a shared cup of caf.

"Now what do you make of that, acolyte Kayn?" he asked Asenath.

Aaz Tor Kree slowly raised his hands above his head and pivoted to the right, until Asenath was directly behind him as the ship continued to insinuate itself into his mind, but the Miralukan was able to compartmentalize its siren song for the moment.

"I can see you," he said out loud. "Well, I mean, I can't see you, but I can see you. Your presence. I'm able to process input in a 360 degree radius. Everything, all around me. Always. And please, don't kill me. I don't want to die today."

He turned again, completing his rotation. "And why would you want to shoot me anyway, here in the open? Is life that meaningless to you? My life, I mean? Meet someone for the first time, shoot him dead, zip off in your talking ship? That's a good day for you?" He turned his head to face the ship. "And you, shut it, yes? You've had your say. I'm talking to my new..." He faced Asenath again. "Well, I can't call you friend now, can I? Not while you're holding my life in your hands."

Pursing his lips, he spoke once more: "Do you know what I think you need? An ally. Have you ever had an ally before? Someone with no skin in the game? Someone who stands to gain nothing by your companionship? Have you been gone so long that no one just wants to eat dinner across from you and talk about the weather? Because the rains are coming, acolyte Kayn, and maybe we could go back inside to the pub for a bit. I've nowhere to be until the morning."

And there it was. Aaz opened himself up fully to the Force as he'd been taught by the Luka Sene. As always when he left his home planet, he was saddened by how angry and prone to violence other beings seemed to be, especially those who embraced the Dark Side of the Force. They considered themselves so strong, but were in fact so weak, so tethered to their emotions and their need to show their superiority.

Even as she squeezed the trigger of the blaster, Aaz was leaping into the air, aided by the Force. The blaster bolts charged mercilessly but harmlessly through open air, striking an empty cargo ship on the far side of the hanger, burning holes into its hull.

Flipping backwards a single time in a high, graceful arc that took him nearly twenty feet into the air, Aaz Tor Kree landed behind Asenath, his lightsaber still clipped to his belt. He heard the beautiful ship call to him once more, enticing him to violence, and smiled, shaking his head.

"Are you sure you want that ship?" he asked the apparently psychotic blonde. "It seems to dislike you quite a bit, and I can't say I'm much of a fan right now either. Why don't the two of you work it out and piss off? You don't want a friend, you don't frighten me, and honestly, I'm busy."

The truth was, Aaz knew full well the Dark Side user was clearly capable of killing him, it was simply that he was trying to avoid escalation of her ill intent. He wondered what he had done in a previous life that his first encounter with a person would engender a need to murder, and vowed to one day make up for it, whatever it was.

...to be met by the eyeless man's own lightsaber blade, somehow now in his hands even as he landed, batting away the expertly-placed strike.

Aaz Tor Kree brandished a double-bladed saberstaff, purple energy projecting from either end. He'd chosen it because it was more difficult to master, but also because it provided additional range due to its extended length, and allowed for him to take advantage of his 360 degrees of vision to strike at targets behind and to the sides of him as well as in front. Or in this case, vaulting through the air.

"Stop it!" he admonished the girl testily, bringing the blazing staff up in a defensive pose. "Go! Leave me alone! Get thee gone! You win! I can't win! You've got the high ground! You're the chosen one! What will it take for you to go away?" As if to punctuate the request, Aaz called on the Force and pushed the Sith acolyte towards the ship she coveted so much, hoping she'd take the hint at last.
