Physical Description -
Tall, lithe, and athletic she stands out among most of her co-workers due to her sky-blue skin and nearly obnoxious pink hair. Her golden eyes, while reminiscent of those belonging to the inquisitors, are natural in appearance. To her chagrin her sharp facial features do not cancel out the fact that she has a tendency to appear younger than she is. Absent are the traditional yellow patterns of paint that the Pantorans are so fond of.
Vyri's right leg, though covered in blue synthflesh, is a prosthetic from mid thigh down.
Personality Overview -
She has perfected the friendly yet distant front that suits her nicely. Highly self protective, relentless, and stubborn as a high-drive akk dog, there is not much Vyri ins't willing to do to achieve her goals. Whether that goal is sifting out the truth on a mission or getting the last Lipana berry muffin, it doesn't make a difference to her. Being an ISB agent is something she enjoys greatly, even if the inquisitors and their force abilities unsettle her greatly. Self-assured in some ways, she is willing to put herself in awkward or even degrading situations if she thinks there might be something to be gained from it.
Vyri's loyalty to the Empire is... loose to put it lightly. She enjoys her work, and figures that if she wasn't doing it for the Empire than she would be working for some level of criminal organization, and she prefers the stability of the Empire. Not that she would ever voice said opinion. It really wouldn't do for an agent to express such things. Lying was never natural at first, but by now she has had years of experience with it.
History-
Her parents chose the wrong side of history. Fanatics of the Separatists, they moved from Pantora to the rocky and desolate world of Agamar during the second year of the Clone War conflict in an effort to find a more welcoming political climate. When the inevitable happened, with the war ending and the Empire forming, Agamar turned into a tumultuous scene. Vyri, then called Sakara Atka, was born only a few years after the conflict ended. She has no memory of her parents arrest, seeing as she was only a few months old, but from what she has since researched it seems like they were ironically planning to join the rebellion born of the same government they had previously scorned.
Shunted into an Imperial run orphanage it was there that her views of the Empire were wrought. The propaganda, heavy handed and glamorized as it was, made the young Pantoran dream of one day joining the ranks of this seemingly great and mighty Empire. Getting into an Imperial academy while being both alien and orphan with no political sway or money to her name, was nothing short of a miracle forged by training, studying, and the complete willingness to do almost anything to skate by.
When it came time to choose a track to pursue, to her surprise, it was a teacher who pulled her aside and suggested that she pursue a more intelligence based track. She laughed and walked away. Her, a spook? Surely she had more chance of being a Jedi than a spy. The idea festered in her mind, and late one night she submitted her scores and grades to the ISB academy for review. After that she forgot about it as much as she could, and prepared herself for being assigned a much more boring job doing some sort of grunt work.
Two standard weeks later she found herself staring at a datapad displaying an acceptance note.
Other
- she lost her leg during one of her first missions as an ISB agent
- before she joined the ISB Academy she legally changed her name from Sakara Atka to Vyri Kain, since her birth name reminded her too much of a culture she felt distant from
- her accent naturally false into a neutral Coruscanti tone, though she has learned a few different Pantoran accents for the purpose of blending in if needed
- she prefers blaster rifles over smaller blasters, and has trained herself to be proficient with the first
- vibroknives are a strange fixation of Vyri's. She try's to collect one from each new planet she visits
