Name: Leonost Tide
-(Lee-on, oh-st)
Species: Human
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Height: 1.85 meters
Weight: 97.5 kilograms
Eye Color: Dark brown
Hair Color: Midnight black
Skin Color: Tanned
Faction: Exiled Jedi - (Rogue Force User)
Descriptive Appearance:
A man who knows what he is about, Leonost cuts and imposing figure. Tall and athletic, with a confidence in both his mental facilities and martial prowess. He tends to have somewhat of a brooding facade as his default expression due to a lifetime of critical thinking. With high cheekbones, he is prone to have something of a charismatic face, though he is too brusque to ever utilize that particular gift. His frame is neither bulky or petite insofar as muscle mass, but what muscle he does have, is honed and tough, and hidden beneath tightly stretched tanned skin.
Personality:
Leonost tends to be remarkably calm at the worst of times. Given his parentage, he was gifted with both the physical disposition of a fighter and the mental faculties of a tactician, and as such has a healthy ego and is unafraid to speak his mind. He’s a natural born leader of men, though like his father, only takes up the mantle of leader when he absolutely has to, preferring to take on most danger himself instead of subjecting others to harm.
He’s mostly reserved and slow to anger. This mentality tends to assist him in battle, as it enables him to keep a level head and analyze his opponents for weaknesses. When anger finally does find him however, his enemies should beware. This transition is typically denoted by the shifting between single handed, to a two handed grip on his lightsaber.
A pacifist by choice, this man draws a weapon only in the most dire of circumstances and rarely goes for a kill shot unless he believes such a sentence has been earned.
On a non-conflict related note, Leonost is usually quite pleasant to be around in general, though he lacks the common “sunny disposition”. He enjoys helping others and is quick to give of himself, but also tends to hold grudges against those who wrong him for a long time.
History:
Leonost Tide was born seven seconds before his twin sister Temperance. The siblings were born from the unlikely matching of a rogue Force User turned Jedi, and a self proclaimed Sith Lord. Both Jedi Knight father and Sith Lord mother were always exceptionally unorthodox about their individual practices and it was likely because of that, that a union was possible between them. They inevitably separated before fully committing to each other, as both were called to separate galactic conflicts - The mother leaving for the Unknown Regions of space and the father returning from said regions to rejoin the Galactic Civil War.
When their mother left for the Unknown Regions, she entrusted the care of her children to their father, Radiant Tide. And it was under his instruction and due to his dedication and love as their father, that enabled Leon and Tempy to become able bodied individuals who’d inherited most of the strongest traits of both parents.
Rade was approached by his son in later years and was asked if he would train him as a Jedi. His father vehemently refused, having seen the best and worst of the Order in his own time, but instead told his son he would show him how to be better than them.
Those lessons mostly stuck to Leon as a young man, but following the conclusion of the civil war and the decimation of the Empire, he decided to go his own way and join the Jedi Order some years after it was rebuilt on Naboo.
As a Force User with prior experience of the galaxy, and battle in general, Leon was accepted by most, but simultaneously shunned by others within the blossoming new Order. He brought with him tainted blood in the eyes of some, from the unnatural union of their sworn enemies, the Sith.
Along with his half blooded nature, Leon brought with him something of a unique outlook on the Force. In the eyes of those who needed to put titles to such things, he was mostly personified as a Gray Jedi, given his disposition to occasionally be cold and calculated and at the same time compassionate and steadfast in his beliefs. It was because of this that he became something of a loner within the Jedi Order, as he found it difficult to relate to many of his peers.
It was evident from very early in his life that Leonost was gifted. His analytical nature saw him beating his tactician of a father in Dejarik and Chess at seven years old. It further alarmed his father when he found that his only son took after him in the realm of combat training. The men of the Tide line had never been inherent prodigies with a lightsaber. They’d simply been near the top echelon of swordsmen because they would train until they dropped, and absorbed each bruise and lesson so that they weren’t needed more than a few times before muscle memory stored them forever. They became creatures of instinct, often stating after combat that they’d blacked out and entered into what they described as “Battle Sleep”.
Leon was taken on in his Jedi training by a gifted Master with a healthy ego. Unfortunately, his Master was killed while on a diplomatic mission because of that ego, close to the end of Leonost’s training. Leon himself was Knighted, having passed his trials.
Later in life after his father had passed away, Leonost began to see what his dad had meant about how Jedi tended to be short sighted and typically focused on the problem right in front of them. Leon felt that the Jedi were moving in the wrong direction on the galactic scale, having centered their strength around Naboo instead of spreading to other systems to help promote peace and understanding. They came away as very closed off in the grand scheme of things and he fought constantly with the council in order to effect a change.
It was because of his constant battling that Leon was eventually kicked out of the Jedi Order. While it troubled him initially, it inevitably saved his life, for the very day he was exiled, the Empire arrived and destroyed the Jedi almost to a man.
Leon drifted into obscurity following their destruction, only surfacing again to do odd jobs for small settlements on the fringes of the outer rim, exchanging labor for food and shelter when needed. He has become something of a nomad, going from planet to planet and doing what he could to help those in need.
Personal possessions:
Lightsaber (Hurrikane gem) Purple blade
Travel-worn armor and cloak
Turquoise crystal shard necklace (Momento from his father)
