A young woman, perhaps twenty years old, was sprinting down a walkway on Imperial Center, her breathing ragged. She dodged around the other people on the walkway as best as she could, though she still managed to bump into a few as she went.
Turning a corner she dodged to the side into an alley, pausing for a moment to catch her breath as her lungs burned. The rest did not last long as she looked around the corner in fright, then took off down the alley.
Bursting out from the other end she looked in both directions in a panic, before taking off down another walkway her eyes darting around as if looking for something. In the distance, beyond the alley, she had emerged from, came indistinct yelling. Hearing it, the girl pushed herself to run faster through the crowd.

Coruscant. Mid-day. Meticulously cleaning the grease from her hands with a rag used for just that purpose, the lone woman in the small two-story building tossed it onto the top of the repulsor-cart floating nearby, stretching slowly to avoid muscle cramps after working on a client's light freighter for the last several hours. Sweeping her silver gaze across the mostly-empty entirety of her business' empty first floor workshop, aside from the ship she'd finished maintenance on barely a handful of minutes ago, the lone woman decided a change of scenery was in order. A shower and a change of clothing later, the pale-skinned mechanic was casually making her way to a local eatery she favored. Or at least, that had been her intention...until yelling from somewhere nearby caught her attention.
The barest hint of a frown flitted across Jennica's face as she weighed her options quickly but carefully. Direct confrontation had never been her style, which meant indirect methods. Fortunately, Jennica had learned a number of these years ago, and they had come in handy living on Coruscant right under the nose of the Imperials. Such as the one she used every day to hide her ability to use the Force. Slipping into an alleyway took but a few moments, and the shadows soon became her home as she moved as fast as she could without breaking stealth, in the direction the yelling was coming from. Hopefully it wouldn't take long to find out what was going on.

Lilliana found herself someplace she did not know, an open market she had never been to. On Coruscant, there was a seemingly infinite number of buildings and even having spent her whole life on the world she only knew of the smallest fraction of it.
Having left that tiny section, she found herself completely lost. A fact that only added to her terror. The people chasing her probably knew the area better or at least had a map of the area.
Running through an open market, she barely missed running into an elderly old woman. She took only a moment to apologize before she took off again, running toward the nearest alley to get away from the crowd. Looking more behind her than in front of her, she ran into something hidden in the shadows and ended up sprawled on the ground.

The only warning Jennica had that someone was approaching the alley from the direction where the yelling had originated from, was the quickly approaching sound of hurried footsteps. Despite this sudden forewarning, the grey-skinned woman barely had any time to step to the side, as the owner of those very hurried footsteps came darting into the shadow- and refuse-strewn corridor. As a result, the individual ran straight into the hybrid's right side even as the mechanic began moving to the left towards the wall, the other woman's somewhat-diverted inertia causing her to go sprawling on the ground behind where the typically silent Jedi Knight had been standing. The portion of Lilliana's inertia that the half-breed had absorbed, however, sent her staggering back against the wall behind her with a low feminine grunt elicited by the impact, now that her body was parallel to the building's wall.
Splitting her attention between the street past the end of the alley, and the other woman now on the ground, a decision was made quickly. Extending a hand from where she stood in a shadowy area, into the light where Lilliana was, but the illumination only revealed her lower arm as she did this.

It took a few moments for Lilliana to realize she was on the ground, stunned by the sudden stop. When she saw a looming presence above her in the relative darkness of the alley she first cringed with a look of fear. When the person stretched out their hand the girl visibly flinched. It was only after she looked up did she realize they did not appear to mean any harm.
Shakily Lilliana took the woman's hand and pulled herself to her feet. Shivering out of fear rather than cold, she kept looking back to see if anyone was entering the alley. "Th-thank you. Th-they're after me! I don't know what I did wrong, b-but I think they want to kill me or something!"

Jennica lifted one dark brow almost imperceptibly in a curious fashion at Lilliana's outburst about people following her with the intention of killing her, before her silver eyes took on a distant look, as the pale-skinned hybrid reached out with barely enough Force awareness to get a sense for their shared surroundings. Sure enough, there were sources of hostility approaching from the direction which the other woman had come from, and the unarmed Jedi Knight withdrew back into herself before turning her complete attention on Lilliana once more. A careful, but quick examination didn't notice any visible injuries, though she posed a simple query nonetheless.
"Can you run? I know a safe location." The inquiry was voiced in a voice that seemingly lacked emotion, filled instead with what most would likely perceive as an eerily methodical calmness, as the dark-haired woman's vivid argent gaze remained intently focused on Lilliana's face. Without blinking once, which might also seem unnatural to some, or most people.

The apparent lack of emotion and intense stare caused Lilianna to flinch, fearing perhaps this was one of her pursuers. Then the woman's words registered and relief flooded the girl. Whoever this person was they were willing to help, and that was more than she had hoped for.
"Y-yes. I can still run," she said panting. Her lungs and legs burned, but the adrenaline pumping through her veins kept her going. The few seconds to catch her breathe had helped, but if she did not get back to moving her body was likely to try and seize up on her. "Wh-where are we going?"

The merest hint of a smile made one corner of Jennica's mouth twitch upward very briefly, before a reply was forthcoming. "Somewhere you'll be able to rest, at least for a while. It's not far." And then she fell silent to wait and see how the other woman reacted.

"Okay," Lillianna replied with a nervous nod of her head. At this point, she did not have much choice but to trust this woman, because the alternative was turning herself into her pursuers. That option did not even cross the girl's mind as she looked around warily. "S-shouldn't we get going?"

The query Lilliana posed elicited an amused chuckle from the hybrid that was as unexpected to her as the smile had been, given her usual neutral manner. A reply was not long in coming, however. "Indeed." And with that, the gray-skinned woman began to move off in the direction of her place of business.

While Lilliana was grateful for the help, she found this stranger to be, well, strange. Some kind of explanation as to where they were going might have alleviated some of the girl's fears, but then again it might have just made things worse. She was in a fragile state following the chase.

While silence had long been Jennica's custom, the dual-heritage Jedi Knight could sense a measure of unease emanating from the other woman, even without the Force. As a result, as they continued towards their destination, she did voice a remark that was directed towards Lilliana, for her consideration. "If questions arise in your mind, feel free to voice them." And then she went quiet once more.

"U-um, thank you again for helping me," Lilliana said. She was slightly relieved when the mysterious woman said she could ask her anything. If she had remained secretive, Lilliana would have been left only imaging the worst. Not that she could think of ways things could get much worse. "My name is Lily, what is your name?
