Tex was more than a little tense as she double-checked her blaster rifle. She didn't doubt her skills, but it HAD been a while since she'd been in a combat zone, and she still wasn't sure they wouldn't of been better off with a more indepth plan. But time wasn't on the Resistance's side. They needed resources, and fast. And right now, one big ripe resource was sitting in a dock being repaired, just waiting for them to take it.
Currently, their commandos were hanging back in what gunships and freighters they could salvage, waiting to make a break for boarding the station. They were expecting minimum resistance, but that didn't mean it'd be an easy mission. The Empire thought that the Alliance was gone, and likely didn't expect a co-ordinated attack. Especially not on a repair dock. But the Resistance's resources were still so limited that a damaged Star Destroyer with a skeleton crew and a repair station were still a viable threat to them.
Tex sighed, and resisted the urge to massage her lekku. For the initial wave, their faith was in Rogue Squadron. The fighter squadron would drop in and attack the station, acting like they were intending to destroy it (and frankly, if they could, all the better). The Empire would likely believe it was a ditch attack on a damaged Star Destroyer, a chance to take one ship out before they returned it to the stars. By the time they realised they weren't trying to destroy it, but rather steal it, Tex hoped it would be too late.
Tex looked at the screen nervously, reading the approaching X-Wings. Oh, she knew they were skilled, but she'd still feel better if this attack wasn't led by Alis'heen'amey. She'd only spoken briefly with the fashion queen turned pilot, and her uniform STILL reeked of her perfume. But she had to follow what she had heard. Sheena was one of the best pilots they had, and the current Rogue Leader. She had to trust her.
She had to let them do their part. And then, it was down to the commandos and the Jedi. That was the other thing she doubted the Empire was counting on. Jedi Knights. The Jedi could cut through the hull and get them on board, and even better, deflect blaster bolts. With the Jedi on their side, Tex knew that they had a chance.
"Okay everybody, this is it. Wait until Rogue Squadron launch their first strike and draw the TIE Fighters away from the far side of the station. And then we move." She prepped her spacesuit. Yes, they were going in via the cold vacuum of space. An airlock was too heavily defended, but the Jedi's lightsabers could get them in. "Jedi, take point. Get us in to that station. From there, our goal is the bridge of the Star Destroyer. We can't let anything else distract us." She outlined.
